“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right” Henry Ford
Choices provides outpatient counseling and therapy services to highly motivated individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma and a wide range of mental health challenges.
Choices counselors are results oriented and will tailor counseling sessions to achieve maximum progress.
Your mental health is our number one priority.
Progress in therapy is best made at the individual level in a calm and private environment. We care and it shows.
Successful therapy involves a partnership between counselor and client that focuses on improvement and progress rather than on stigmatizing pathology. We guarantee the most cutting edge and results oriented treatment.
This is your life and the right counselor can make all the difference.
One of the biggest benefits to receiving counseling and therapist services at Choices is developing the ability to emotionally ventilate your feelings. In sessions, you are always encouraged to feel however you feel.
Your emotions are your own internal GPS. They will lead you where you need to go and your job is to listen to them. Happy, sad or angry all of your feelings are valid and are there for a reason. When you learn to work with your emotions instead of against them the benefits are endless.
"Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways" Sigmund Freud
The intent of therapy is to change your thinking process. If the vast majority of your thoughts are negative, it is only a matter of time before this causes problems in your life.
The problems may be complicated, but the solutions are simple. The path to wellness will be laid out for you and it will be your choice what you do next.
Therapist sessions at Choices focus on adapting and changing your thinking. Therapists will also equip you with the ability to identify and evaluate your thinking patterns and change them permanently.
Success rates for therapy vary depending on the type of therapist and the motivation of the individual. When clients follow the SHOW UP-TRY-REPEAT philosophy, it is successful most of the time.
In order for therapy to work, the person must enter the therapy process with an open mind and be prepared to work hard. Depression, Trauma and Anxiety are tough to beat, but we help people do it every day.
"Some people can find a problem in every solution, while others will find a solution for every problem"
Success is achieved in small, daily, incremental steps. Time will go by no matter what, so why not make the most of it?
The best therapy is typically a blending of a variety of approaches to get you well.
Counselors at Choices are trained in a number of evidence based psychotherapies and will quickly tailor treatment to your specific needs.
"Strive for progress not perfection"
Choices counselors have a variety of skill sets, personality styles and specialties. It is important for you to find someone you feel comfortable with.
We want you to feel better and will come up with the best path to wellness.
