At the evaluation, your therapist will discuss options for treatment and outline a counseling plan for you. By the end of the first session your counselor will help you decide which treatment option is best for you.
Depending on the frequency, intensity and duration of your symptoms your treatment will quickly be individualized to you. Sometimes only a few sessions is enough. For more chronic issues, a longer term and more intense counseling treatment may be a better choice.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions and choices therapists will be more than happy to answer them. You are encouraged to do research on therapists and come to the session prepared. This will make you better able to advocate for yourself and increase your chances of success.
Choices accept most major insurances and can also offer cash pay for those without insurance. Different counselors may only take certain insurances, so please call and specify your insurance type.
